I spent years as a credentialed classroom teacher with a Master's in education. I know what is in the standards, and I know what is not. Somewhere in there a child learns to label a stem, a root, and a petal. Cultivators

The second pass at the 72 plants your child already knows, this time through body patterns and terrain: why the same plant helps one person and not another, and how a garden becomes a remedy.

Practitioners

The third pass at the 72 plants, at clinical depth. A high schooler who has grown up with these plants learns to reason about them the way a practitioner does.

The same family, carried across both bands. A simple parable at K-2 becomes a story of real choices at 3-5.

Before there is a lesson about a plant, there is a family. Vovó in the garden. PopPop with his hands in the dirt. A scraped knee, a jar on a windowsill, a grandmother who knows which flower to reach for. The botany, the scripture, and the kitchen lab all hang on that narrative hook, which is why a child who cannot yet define a term can still tell you exactly why Vovó chose the plant she chose. This is the piece that makes the curriculum stick, and it is the piece most curricula skip. Facts taught cold are facts forgotten by Friday.

Color, smell, taste and texture at K-2 become measurements, ratios, and a hypothesis at 3-5.

It is a consumable workbook, but calling it that undersells what happens on the page. She draws the plant she just held. She records what it smelled like. She answers, in her own handwriting, a question that has no answer key, because some of the best questions in this curriculum genuinely do not have one. The enrichment work is deliberately marked optional, complete it if you have time, because a curriculum that punishes a hard week is a curriculum abandoned in February. This is also the practical answer to the record-keeping question: dated, sequential, in your child's own hand, showing observation, narration, scripture copywork, and real measurement across thirty-six weeks.

This is the question we most want asked, so let us answer it completely.

We believe the Creator God made everything. We believe we were placed, on purpose, in a garden, among plants and among people, and that both were made with complementary patterns. A plant that soothes and a body that can be soothed were designed to meet. That is not a coincidence and it is not magic. It is design.

So when your child learns those patterns, she is doing what a person does in a museum built by someone she loves. She notices the craftsmanship, and the noticing sends her back to the One who did the work. Appreciation moves toward the Creator. It never stops at the creation.

That line is not a marketing sentence for us. It is the line we edit against.
